It’s time to begin your day. That moment when you walk through the Ste. Anne’s stone fence, your shoulders start to release their tension and your worries start to dissipate. As you walk through the courtyard and breathe in the fresh smell of the outdoors mixed with spa scents and delicious country cuisine, you’re already starting to get into a relaxed state. Open the door, be greeted with a genuine smile from one of our Ste. Anne’s family members, then grab your plush robe and opt in for a guided tour before heading to the locker room.

We always recommend starting your day with a treatment. It sets the tone for you whole visit and gets you into a blissful mode right from the beginning. Having a treatment is not an option here – it is a requirement! We believe so much in the power of human touch that we always include $150 in spa and wellness allowance in all of our packages so that you can choose from a wide variety of therapeutic spa treatments or wellness activities to help heal your mind, body and soul.

It’s time to enter our hydrotherapy pools. Remove your robe and slowly step into our first pool, the Upper Lazy River Pool by lying horizontally in the water. Slow down your breath and feel the water take a river-like effect as it flows over your body. Your next step takes you to our Below the Falls Sitting Jet Pool which is at a warmer temperature. Let the water soothe your mind and strengthen inner peace. The next warm pool is our Upper Sitting Thermal Pool. The contrast between the warm and colder water temperatures becomes a surprise for the senses but an all in all feeling of deep relaxation envelops you. Finish off the circuit in our Yukon Plunge Pool which will leave you feeling invigorated and reset. Our pools are open all year, rain or shine. Repeat the cycle and enjoy our natural surroundings while you reap the hydrotherapy benefits.

Not only do we believe in the healing power of touch, but so too in the ability of thoughtful, nourishing cuisine to satisfy our body and give it the energy to heal. While here, we want you not only to relax but to also feel stronger, so everyday spa experience also includes a delicious 3-course lunch including non-alcoholic beverages, appetizer, main and dessert. You get to choose from a wide variety of options from lighter fare to more hardy options, without worrying about the price tag because it’s all included. Ste. Anne’s Spa is situated on 500 acres of rolling fields, forests, trails and gardens in the beautiful Northumberland Hills. We believe that healing also begins with getting outside, away from the hustle and bustle of city life and breathing in that fresh country air. We always recommend that our guests find time in their day to explore the property in whatever way suits them. Take a vigorous walk on our trails, find your way to our serenity garden and meditative labyrinth for some quiet reflection or simply find a secluded spot amongst our trees and take a nap in a hammock.

Discover our Warming Room and Eucalyptus Inhalation Room. Let muscle tension and fatigue melt away as you enter our Warming Room. Strengthen your immune system and let your body naturally detoxify. Slow down your breathing and let the contrasting waterfall soothe your soul. Our Eucalyptus Inhalation Room is a true journey to the heart of our senses. A favourite element for our guests, this room will help to relieve stress and respiratory symptoms. A true healing experience.

At Ste. Anne’s Spa, promoting health and wellness during your visit is always the top priority. As such we have continued to expand our wellness class offerings so that you can find a class or activity that engages your mind and body in a way that suits you best. Choose from more traditional activities like yoga or meditation in our cozy wellness pavilion, or hit the gym with our fitness instructors for a more vigorous wellness activity, or choose an outdoor activity more focused on reflection and observing nature. Your $150 spa and wellness allowance can be applied to any of these classes, making it easy for you to have the most well rounded experience while you are here. What is a day of wellness without a little sweetness? Afternoon Tea is one of our guest’s favourite parts of the Ste. Anne’s experience. You’ll get to choose from our signature teas and enjoy 3-tiers of savoury sandwiches, fruits, cheeses and sweets as the perfect wind down to your stay. If you don’t have a sweet tooth and you’re an early riser, you can opt instead to enjoy a full a la carte breakfast on your day visit with us instead of afternoon tea. Either way, your afternoon tea (or breakfast) is included in your visit as well as lunch, so you will feel nourished and satisfied all day, allowing you to fully embrace all the other aspects of the spa experience.

To make the most of your time at Ste. Anne’s, here are a few tips:
  • Leave your phone in your room or locker. If you must bring it along, please leave it on silent mode.
  • Pack flip flops or slippers for inside the property, and your bathing suit for the steam room, therapeutic pools and select spa treatments.
  • Pack leisure clothes for our wellness classes and explore our gardens and walking trails.
