Silky Spring Skin | Getting Your Skin Spring Ready!

It’s almost time for spring cleaning – and not just your house! With the welcoming of this much-loved season, there are a number of different skin care routines you should consider!

Deep Clean

The change in temperature and weather conditions, as well as the transition from dry, cool air and indoor dry heating can be rough on our skin. That’s why, as we make way for more moisture and milder climates, a deep clean could make it easier on your skin.

For a deep cleanse, we recommend our Ste. Anne’s Skin Nourishment Gommage – a gentle exfoliating peel. Use this product once a week to help uncover your skin’s natural, glowing appearance. This peel also contains the fresh scent of lemon petitgrain for a smooth, clean aroma.

At home hack: combine and blend organic apple cider vinegar, honey and baking soda. Leave on your face for 10-15 minutes to remove excess dirt and kill bacteria.

Moisturize!

It’s no secret that the winter has a massive drying effect on our skin – everything from our head to toes! But with the onset of spring, you can now enjoy a lighter moisturizer.

Ste. Anne’s Hydrating Lotion is a guest-favourite. It’s moisture-rich, botanical-filled and light-weight feel formula makes it easy (and fun!) to use throughout the day. The garden scents of bergamot and patchouli also make it a perfect addition to your spring skin care routine. For an intensive, hydrating face cream, you can also try our Hydrating Mask!

At home hack: Coconut oil is a popular method of moisturizing the face, however it can be used all over the body. It has been known to provide noticeable results with most skin types.

Preventing Breakouts

Stop breakouts before they happen! With the humid temperatures of spring and summer, our skin is more likely to develop clogged pores.

Ste. Anne’s Gel Cleanser is perfect for oily complexion, gently removing impurities while balancing sebum production.

At home hack: Add honey to dampened skin and remove with a washcloth for a gentle face wash.

Sun Protection

mportant to protect your skin from the spring sunshine. UV rays can cause skin cells to die and/or damaged.

To keep yourself protected, drink lots of water, take breaks in a shaded area, and wear sunglasses and light clothing. As well, you can use sunscreen before extended outdoor enjoyment to prevent the negative effects of the sun on your skin.

Burned by the sun? Our Skin Nourishment Soothe Serum can aide in the repair of burns, red and inflamed skin. It’s gentle and filled with botanicals, for an all-natural treatment.

At home hack: Apply organic olive oil to reduce redness and inflammation in the skin.
