Here’s the latest scoop on Ste. Anne’s Spa – they’ve got the coldest, creamiest and coolest frozen treats around so save room for dessert!

Canada’s premiere health retreat is serving up decadent gluten-free and vegan frozen desserts, sorbets and popsicles in fantastical flavours and freshly made with all-natural ingredients. Melt-in-your-mouth goodness that’s good for you!

Indulge your summertime sweet tooth with delicious dairy-free Iced Coconut Cream desserts in a variety of creamy, dreamy flavours – Strawberry & Rhubarb, Coconut, and Chocolate. And there’s more satisfying sweetness on the menu with luscious Raspberry & Orange Sorbet, and super tasty and healthy popsicles in Strawberry, Pink Lemonade, Mango and Coconut with Chocolate Ganache.

Free of artificial flavours and additives, the new refreshing treats join an extensive selection of healthful dessert options offered at Ste. Anne’s Bakery and in the Spa dining room overlooking the beautiful Haldimand Hills outside of Grafton, Ontario.

It’s a labour of love for David Salazar, manager at Ste. Anne’s Bakery. He travelled to Miami to research the best frozen desserts and how to make them, and came back to create healthy coconut cream-based delights. “There’s lots of work – the pasteurizing process takes two hours alone. Consistency, creaminess and good taste are everything.”

No gluten, no problem, says spa director David Navia – “you won’t believe they’re gluten-free. They’re absolutely delicious. Whether you suffer from a gluten allergy or are just craving something cool and sweet, rest assured you’ll love our frozen desserts.”

Take some home and fill up your freezer. Navia says there’s increased client demand for gluten-free and the Spa happily caters to clients’ tastes and dietary restrictions. Ste. Anne’s is renowned for their amazing food, all freshly prepared and using local ingredients often grown in their onsite gardens, and the new frozen desserts are a sweet finale to any meal – or the perfect snack.

Ste. Anne’s Bakery is the only certified, gluten-free facility in Northumberland County, and last year the bakery won the 2017 Retail Business Award from the Northumberland Central Chamber of Commerce. “In addition, the Bakery increased its distribution outlets to 40 stores this year, and launched an online store to reach the rest of Canada,” says Salazar.

Along with their frozen dessert line, the Bakery’s bonanza of delectable products including breads, cookies, chocolate bars and butter tarts are retailed across Ontario. Their butter tarts are to die for! Ste. Anne’s Bakery took home top spot at last year’s Kawarthas Butter Tart Tour Festival.
