Winter Spiced Cider
This winter spiced cider recipe is a delightful holiday drink that blends apple and cranberry juices with warm spices like cinnamon, allspice and star anise. It’s a cozy and flavorful beverage that adds a festive touch to any gathering.
Half Batch – Serves 8-10
- 3L (3 cans) - apple juice
- 1 cup - cranberry juice
- 1 tsp - allspice
- 3 - star anise cloves
- 4-6 - whole cloves
- 4 - cinnamon sticks, broken in half
- 2 cups - water
If you’re preparing this in the morning, it’s best to use cold water to help with the brewing process. On the other hand, if you’re adding to or making a fresh batch in the afternoon, using hot water can help ensure everything blends well and brews more effectively.
- Step 1
Combine the allspice, star anise and cloves into a tea filter- tie off tightly.
- Step 2
Place cinnamon sticks in a tea filter and tie off tightly.
- Step 3
Pour apple juice into the urn, toss in the cinnamon sticks and spice bags. Add cranberry juice and stir.
- Step 4
Turn on the urn 30 minutes before service (in morning) to ensure the product is heated.

Serve in a glass with one full cinnamon stick.
